How to get your Real Estate license and become a Real Estate Agent in Amarillo TX
Hey it's Pam here and I just wanted to talk to you about five this morning.
If you're like me, you have an attention span like a housefly so I am going to talk very very fast. I'm also going to write this down so if you want to read it slower then you can.
I'm going to talk about five things:
1. How Do You Get A Real Estate License?
Well it's a 180 hours. You do in fact have to sit in front of the computer for 180 hours. You're going to have to have toothpicks to hold your eyes open but this is gonna teach you how to take the test. Once you take the test then you are just going to throw the whole thing away. Everything that you learn, because that isn't anything about real estate.
So, the thing about it is, when you come to see me I can get you the classes for half the price.
I am not going to lie to you it's going to cost you about 2 grand, about 2 grand actually to get in the real estate business when you have to pay for classes, dues, licensing and all of those different things. So be prepared for that! If you go try to open a grocery store, hair salon, an automotive place it's going to cost you a whole lot more than 2 grand. So it's very way cheap to get into the business
2. Can you do this full-time and part-time at the same time. I mean have a full-time job and do this part-time?
The answer to that question is yes and no. You have to be PASSIONATE about Real Estate. You have to be ready to plug in to everything that we have and you have to WORK IT. We have a guy in the office, named James and he is so passionate about Real Estate that within a few months he has already got so his part-time job is surpassing his full-time job. He is almost ready make the switch but it's up to you whether or not you can do part-time and full-time.
3. Failure rate is very high.
The reason for that is because you have to do the work. This is not a get-rich-quick scheme. You actually have to plug into the system. You have all the steps one, two three four five and once you do that and follow the steps, you learn all the things that you have to do and then YOU CAN very easily be successful but you have to be willing to pay the price in order to do that. I do not want you to be one of those that fails.
4. There are three different kinds of Real Estate offices.
Broker centric
That is where the brokers here and all the agents are around here. The agents split their Commission the broker makes money and that's exactly how that works .
Hundred-perfect office
Where you really are a tenant and your broker is you landlord and you pay a desk fee and that's all. Well no, maybe that's not all. You do have to pay your franchise fees and you do have to pay your errors and omissions insurance and I am not even sure, I haven't been there see I don't know what else you have to pay.

That means we are here and the owners are here. We have the say in everything that goes on here. We're all about branding ourselves. Keller William's in general does not advertise. 5. What do we offer here?
TRAINING. We are named number one training company in the entire world accross all industries. The problem with that is you have to be willing to plug into it. The training is there we'll teach you how you can do anything you want to know how to do here locally or internationally but it's up to you to plug into the the system.
